A lyric-less song for Shanthnoo and Ineya

Director Thangar Bachan is excited about his forthcoming film, Ammavin Kaipesi.

He says, “This is one film that’s close to my heart. My Azhagi was a trendsetter of sorts; it was a beautiful romantic film, with no overdose of romance. Similarly, the audience will like this film for beautifully touching upon human relationships.”

The film, starring Shanthnoo and Ineya in the lead, is reportedly about how a cellphone becomes the only mode of communication between a son and his mother.

The director has completed almost 95 per cent of the film, and he is currently working on its post-production. He adds, “I’m confident about the script, and would like the film to speak for itself. I just have to shoot one song, and some patchwork for five days.”

Thangar, who has won the state award for his Pallikoodam, says that composer Rohit Kulkarni has come up with a fusion of folk and western music for this film.

“The highlight of the song is that it has no lyrics; the entire track is made only of sounds. We will shoot this number on the lead pair soon,” he informs.
