We are talking about Amala Paul, who recently shifted bag and baggage to Chennai, openly stating that she wants to concentrate more on Tamil films.
Looks like Amala’s gut feel has paid off! The Mynaa girl is being considered for playing opposite none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay in his upcoming flick with director AL Vijay.
Now, everyone knows about the close rapport the director and Ms. Paul shared post their working together in Deivathirumagal.
The rumour mills worked overtime about their alleged affair, despite both claiming that they were just good friends.
Amala’s clever act has temporarily put an end to the long-running speculation about AL Vijay gifting her a posh apartment after the duo fell head-over-heels for each other.
Vijay had earlier told this newspaper that he could not cast Amala in Thaandavam because there was no suitable role for her in the film.
But inside sources tell us that the Kireedom director deliberately avoided repeating her in Thaandavam, and was actually waiting to rope her in for the Ilayathalapathy’s untitled film.
However, this film, produced by Chandraprakash Jain, is set to roll only after Vijay completes his high-action drama Yohan Adhiyayam Ondru with Gautham Menon.
Meanwhile, tinsel town is abuzz with rumours that Yohan has been put on hold for reasons yet undisclosed.
The buzz is that after Thuppakki’s release, Vijay will be taking a month-long holiday abroad with his family, and join Vijay’s shooting in November. Neither actor Vijay nor Gautham could be contacted despite several attempts.
