Anushka edges out Nayanthara and Priyanka?
Director Gunasekhar is planning a mammoth project based on the life of Rani Rudramma Devi, a dynamic Queen of the Kakatiya Dynasty who managed to protect her kingdom from attacks by the Cholas and other powerful rulers of the time. Gunasekhar has readied the script and is all set to roll with the project. Word is that Anushka, Nayanthara and Priyanka Chopra were considered for the project but Anushka managed to edge out the competition thanks to her powerhouse performance in Arundhati.
Gunasekhar will be using the latest technology and will spare no expense on his dream enterprise. Apparently he has roped in Ilaiyaraja for this magnum opus. Thotta Tharani will be the art director. The film will be a bilingual made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
