Divya Spandana, who is better known as ‘Kuthu’ Ramya though he hates to be called like that, is currently shooting for a movie directed by veteran Kodi Ramakrishna in Mysore. On Thursday, which was declared as a nationwide bandh, the shoot was disrupted by a mob who thronged the sets and disrupted the proceedings by allegedly pelting stones and raising slogans.
The bandh was declared by some political parties, opposing Central government’s move to hike the diesel prices and to allow foreign direct investment in retail. Disturbed by this, Divya says “There is nothing wrong in protests. But they need to be peaceful. Opposition should be conveyed in a decent way. It is certainly not a wise thing to take violence in hands.”
