Andrea has untapped potential: Ram

Ramsubramaniam believes Southern actress Andrea Jeremiah, who will sport three different looks in his next untitled film, has a lot of untapped potential.

“She (Andrea) is one of the finest actresses I have come across. But seldom do we see her in a role that does justice to her potential. I decided to make the best use of her potential and that’s why I chose her for my film,” Ram told IANS.
Refusing to divulge details about the looks, he said, “I want her looks to be kept a secret until we reveal it. But, what I can assure you is that it will definitely bring out the best in her as an actress.”

Andrea, who is also a popular Southern singer, was last seen in Kamal Hassan’s controversial multi-lingual thriller Vishwaroopam. She played one of the teammates of Hassan, who played a secret spy in the film.

In Telugu cinema, she was recently seen opposite actor Sunil Varma in Tadakha, which is the Telugu remake of Vettai. Andrea made her acting debut in Tamil romantic-drama Kandha Naal Mudhal in 2005. In the same year, she debuted as a singer with the song ‘Kannum kannum nokia…’ from Tamil thriller Anniyan.
What kind of a film is this?

“It’s a love story akin to the mood of the current generation. This time I have decided to deal with a lighter subject than my previous films. I’m currently zeroing in on the male lead and the rest of the cast. We will begin shooting soon,” he added.

Known for his path-breaking Tamil directorial debut Kattradhu Tamizh, Ram is currently busy wrapping up his second Tamil film Thanga Meengal.

Anirudh leads the race for Vijay!

Following the success of Thuppakki it seems likely that Vijay and director A.R. Murugadoss are certain to team up again. While the details of the production, cast and crew seem to be undecided at the moment reports are suggesting that young composer Anirudh has emerged as the front runner for the music director of the project.

Post Ethir Neechal Anirudh has his hands full with several projects and one in particular, Naanum Rowdydan, will also feature him debuting as the hero. The young man is busy putting the final touches to the music of Vanakkam Chennai which he proclaims to be his best work yet. If all the pieces fall in to place Anirudh will be presented with the massive opportunity of scoring for a Vijay film making it possibly his biggest project thus far.

SHRUTHI WANTED TO DO A MOVIE IN TAMIL

Shruthi, who is tasting only bad luck in all the woods, is trying her level best for a come back but no luck is ready to support her.

When she was asked about her absence from Kollywood, Shruthi said “Its not that I am not accepting any offer from Kollywood. I never care about language. Language issue is only for male artists in the acting industry. For women, we do not have boundries. We are accepted in all languages. I will be doing movies for Kollywood soon”

‘FOR MARIYAAN, I WORKED WITHOUT ASKING THE STORY’ AR RAHMAN

Mariyaan is being directed by Barath Bala and starred by Danush. Its ARR who score music for that movie.

Speaking about Mariyaan, ARR said “I never discussed the story of Mariyaan before accepting the offer from Barath Bala. Its all friendship that forced me to do that. ”

Detailing further on his work with Barath Bala, ARR continued “I have noted him for the past 10 years. He used to take jobs with confidence. I love to work along with Danush, Selvaragavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja”

About a song sung by Yuvan for Mariyaan, ARR said “Actually I sung the song first. When I played it again, I was not satisfied with the voice. So I asked Yuvan to sing the song. Yuvan took just an hour to sing the song for my music.”

According to Mariyaan team, they feel music is the life for the movie. They have started their shooting from climax and did on the reverse side.
