Comedian Kovai Sarala seems to be in demand post the blockbuster Kanchana. The actress, who is very busy in Tollywood, is being choosy about signing on Tamil films.
Sources say that Sarala will play the role of a woman from the Narikurava community in Baba Vikram’s upcoming film Bommai Naaigal. She has Karunas acting opposite her.
It’s the story of a 12-year-old boy and how, with the help of three electronic dogs, he takes revenge on the people who killed his entire family.
A folk song with the lyrics Pattu Selai Vaangi Thaaren, rendered by late Swarnalatha and Pushpavan Kuppusami, was picturised on the comic pair at AVM Studios.
According to the director, this was the last song sung by national ward winner Swarnalatha. Around 30 pairs of Kuravan-Kuratthi took part in the song sequence along with the dancers.
