Looks like Sandhya is excited about playing a college girl in her forthcoming Malayalam film. “I play the role of a young college student in My Dear Mummy. But what’s interesting is, I attend classes with my mother, played by Urvasi, in it!” says the actress.
The film, directed by G Mahadevan, is about how Urvasi, despite being successful in life, lacks confidence because she can’t speak English! So, she attends college with her daughter to take regular lessons! “We’re done with shooting, and only a little bit of patchwork is left,” adds the actress.
Even though Sandhya has her hands full in Mollywood, she hasn’t signed on any film in Tamil after Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam.
But, we hear that she is in talks to do the sequel to Amaidhi Padai. While Sathyaraj will play the lead again, Manivannan will be directing the sequel as well. “Amaidhi Padai is one of my favourite films, and I’m thrilled that its getting a sequel. However, I can’t discuss the film until I sign on the dotted line,” she says.
