Shankar,Vikram, Amy off to China
The entire team of the big budget film I is off to China for a 45-day shoot. The lead pair of Vikram and Amy Jackson, Shankar, P.C. Sreeram and 60-odd members will take off on the weekend for the Aascar Ravichandran film.
A major chunk of the Rs140-crore film is being shot in China as the script demands a locale like the Land of the Sleeping Giant.
Though I was said to be a political satire, a source from Aascar Films claimed that it is a high action commercial entertainer that bears Shankar’s stamp. Vikram in an earlier interview had told DC that I would be hundred times bigger than Anniyan in grandeur and as far as his role goes.
Buzz is that Vikram’s character has intriguing dimensions and the characterisation would shock the audience. Comedian Santhanam has been roped in for a crucial role apart from his usual comic quotient.
A.R. Rahman has already churned out a few peppy numbers for the film. One of the songs was canned recently on the lead pair.
