Srikanth’s a big fan of Nambiar!
Looks like Srikanth has a strong connection with Nambiar. Not only does he respect the veteran actor for his skills, but he will also be playing a character inspired by his onscreen persona.
He says, “I’m doing a film titled Nambiar, and the character I play in it has a striking resemblance to some of the roles that Nambiar sir has played. I think he is one of those talented actors who can charm the audience even while portraying a negative character. Like MGR, his screen presence is striking. In the film, I don’t play a baddie, but my character will hold everyone’s attention. I’m excited about this role, and can’t wait to begin work on it.”
The film will be directed by debutant Ganesh, and Sathya will score the music. “At the risk of sounding cliched, Santhanam will play a role that he has never done so far,” he insists.
Meanwhile, Srikanth is also likely to do a film with Arun Vaidyanathan (of Achchamundu! Achchamundu! fame) next.
