Sudeep’s brand value soars
With Naan Ee turning into a blockbuster, it looks like Brand Sudeep has become the latest craze for distributors in Tamil Nadu. They are desperately trying to cash in on the actor’s success with Naan Ee by releasing dubbed versions of his Kannada films.
The first in this line is this week’s release Korukkupettai Coolie, which is a dubbed version of the Sudeep-Mamta Mohandas starrer Gooli. The film is a gangster subject, which is always sells at the B and C centres and a local distributor has smartly decided to release this film right now when there are no new big releases.
Last week, it was the Telugu film Chathrapathi, which was directed by Naan Ee director S S Rajamouli, that was promoted aggressively as releasing soon with a new title Chandramouli.
