Thaandavam gets U certificate
UTV Motion Pictures have enough reasons to celebrate. Their eagerly awaited Chiyaan Vikram’s AL Vijay directed Thaandavam has been cleared by the censors with a ‘U’ certificate.
According to reports, no cuts were suggested at all for the film. AL Vijay has become the first director in Tamil to get ‘U’ certificate for all the five films he has directed so far.
The multistarrer which has Vikram, Anushka, Jagapathy Babu, Lakshmi Rai, Amy Jackson, Santhanam and Nassar has music by GV Prakash, which is already topping the charts.
Thaandavam getting an ‘U’ certificate works to the advantage of UTV , as it gets exemption from entertainment tax. The film is now gearing up for release on 28th September across the globe in close to 1,000 screens in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
