Vairamuthu’s Biblical connection!
The last time Vairamuthu penned the lyrics for director Seenuramasamy’s film, he ended up with a National Award. And now, the duo looks set to repeat the feat with their next outing Neerparavai, which stars Vishnu and Sunaina in the lead, as we hear that that the ace lyricist has penned lyrics using verses from the Bible!
Says a source from the production team, “The film is set in coastal Tamil Nadu and deals with characters who are Christians. So, the director felt that including verse from the Bible would suit the tone of the film and conveyed the same to Vairamuthu. But the lyricist totally surprised him by penning the lyrics for all the five songs, composed by Rahnanthan, by entirely using words taken from the Bible.”
When contacted, directed Seenuramasamy confirmed the news and expressed hope that this novel attempt by Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu will win him more laurels during the awards season next year.
