Vijay’s golden gesture
Ilayathalapathy Vijay celebrated his birthday recently with his fans and well-wishers. The philanthropist that he is, the actor even visited government hospitals and gifted gold rings to newborns.
A source says, “Every year on his birthday, Vijay spends some quality time with kids in hospitals and homes. This year, he visited a maternity hospital and gifted gold rings to the children who were born on his birthday. He had instructed his welfare association to do the same in at least 30 hospitals in the districts in Tamil Nadu.”
The source adds, “Vijay had clearly instructed his fans and association members to indulge in philanthropic activities like distributing books and other study materials to students. His father, director S A Chandrashekar, had been overseeing the activities.”
We hear that the actor had told his family and friends to keep his birthday celebration simple, and it’s learnt that he spent the rest of the day shooting for Thuppakki.
